ABOUT ME
Lauren Kraus M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Speech-Language Pathologist
Hello! My name is Lauren Kraus and I am a New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist located in Central New York. I have a passion for all things communication!
I started my career working with the birth-5 year old population at a local inclusive preschool and have continued working with school-aged children throughout the last few years of my career. I have a love for learning and frequently attend conferences and workshops to keep up with the latest in evidence-based practice to best serve my clients.
My clinical skills include evaluating and providing services to clients birth-adulthood with speech and language disorders. I have a passion for working with speech sound disorders, those with developmental disabilities, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), language delays, and social skill deficits.
MY APPROACH
Family Centered Collaboration
One of my guiding approaches is centered around family collaboration. Therapy is most effective when the entire family is on-board and involved. While this may look different for each family, the research shows that the more families are involved in therapy, the better the outcomes.
I take into consideration your environment, schedules, wants, and needs when addressing goals in therapy. Every family and client is unique and private practice allows us the flexibility to fit into everyone's diverse scenarios. Together, we can create a therapy plan that fits everyone's wants and needs and make progress as a collaborative unit.
